All quotations issued by Davidson International Group B.V. are subject to the following terms and conditions, which form an integral part of any quotation document. By accepting a quotation, the client agrees to these terms.
The validity period of each quotation is stated within the quotation document itself. Where no validity period is stated, the quotation is valid for 48 hours from the date of issue. Quotations are subject to availability and market conditions at the time of booking confirmation.
All quotations are issued in EUR unless otherwise specified in the quotation document. Where a quotation is issued in USD or another currency, that currency applies as stated. Exchange rate fluctuations between quotation date and invoice date are for the client's account.
Unless explicitly requested by the client and confirmed in writing within the quotation, the following are excluded from all quotations:
All quotations are based on work carried out during regular business hours on normal working days. Work performed on weekends, public holidays or outside agreed hours will attract an out-of-hours surcharge, which will be invoiced separately in addition to the quoted amounts. Any such requirements should be specified before quotation.
Customs clearance is dependent on the accuracy and completeness of information provided by the client. Davidson International Group B.V. cannot be held responsible for any additional costs, fines or delays resulting from inaccurate or incomplete documentation, manifests, HS classifications or declared values.
The following are excluded from all quotations unless explicitly stated:
All such charges will be invoiced at cost in accordance with applicable law and regulation.
Carrier liability for goods in transit — whether by air (AWB), sea (Bill of Lading) or road (CMR) — is strictly limited under applicable international conventions and is minimal relative to the value of most shipments.
Davidson International Group B.V. strongly recommends that clients arrange adequate cargo and transit insurance through their own insurance broker. Unless specifically requested in writing and confirmed by Davidson, no cargo insurance is included in or arranged under this quotation. The client acknowledges that in the absence of a written insurance instruction, goods travel at the client's risk beyond applicable carrier liability limits. Insurance can be arranged by Davidson upon written request.
All quotations are based on rates of exchange, fuel surcharges, security surcharges, war risk premiums and carrier tariffs applicable at the time of quotation. These elements are subject to change without notice due to market fluctuations. Davidson International Group B.V. reserves the right to adjust quoted amounts accordingly, and cannot be held responsible for price changes caused by:
Unless otherwise stated, quotations exclude:
The client is responsible for ensuring that all goods are suitably packed and protected for the intended mode of transport. Any special handling requirements — including fragile items, high-value cargo, hazardous goods or items requiring temperature control — must be communicated to Davidson in writing prior to collection or booking. Davidson cannot accept liability for damage resulting from inadequate packing unless packing has been arranged by Davidson under a separate written agreement.
All quoted rates and charges are exclusive of VAT. VAT will be applied where applicable in accordance with Dutch and EU tax regulations.
All services are performed under the Dutch Forwarding Conditions (Nederlandse Expeditievoorwaarden — FENEX), filed with the District Courts of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. These conditions apply in addition to and form part of these Quotation Terms.
